  • Road Safety Workshops

    All children have received a Road Safety workshop  this week from Derbyshire County Council Road Safety team.  The children received lots of really important information about how to keep safe when near roads. Please talk to your child about their learning.

  • Year 3 Parent Lunch

    Lots of our Year 3 parents and grandparents joined us today for the tasty roast chicken dinner. Children showed their special guests how we eat our lunch and parents enjoyed the tasty menu! Watch out for more parent lunches!
  • Soccer Stars Workshops

    Every class enjoyed a day of footballing skills in the school hall. Thank you to Soccer Stars for delivering these workshops. You can sign up for their after school club through the school office.

  • World Book Day

    Another fabulous World Book Day in school! We started the morning with a joint reading session for parents and children in the school hall. Children and teachers looked great in their book character costumes. We even held a fashion show in the hall! See the class pages for photos.
  • Star Foundation - Active 8 day

    Thank you to Star Foundation charity for delivering a taster martial arts day in school for all children. The children worked with real focus and determination to succeed. Craig, the martial arts teacher commented on the good behaviour of the children.

    We receive Active 8 days in exchange for collections of your unwanted goods and clothing. The more that you can donate the more proceeds school receives towards developing the arts, music and sport. Don't forget the Clothing Bank outside of school too!

  • Catton Hall

    A fabulous day at Catton Hall! Thank you to our Forest school teachers, Mrs Toft and Mr Orton for organising such a memorable day out. It marked the end of a series of Forest School sessions  in our Spinney for the Arachnid and Dragonfly class. Photographs on the Forest School page. 
  • Online Safety day

    We held Online Safety day across every class in school. All classes made posters about how to keep safe online, watched and discussed the CEOP clips, completed an internet survey and discussed our online safety rules. Parents were invited in to listen to our CEOP Ambassador, Miss Owen, share the CEOP safety message.
  • Young Leaders festival

    Four children went to the Change for Life festival at the Greenbank Leisure centre.  They learnt lots of ideas about how to improve playtimes for all children and also how to deliver games for younger children. They also found out what skills you need to have to make a good leader.
  • BBC Inside Out programme

    Thu 26 Jan 2017 SR
    The BBC approached us to film a documentary for their Inside Out programme. Danny the reading greyhound and his owner, Tony from the Kennel Club joined us for the day in school to inspire children to read to not just their teachers and their parents...but their pets too! It was an exciting day in school with the BBC film crew in!
