  • The Poet from the Peaks

    Mon 23 Nov 2015 ST

What a fabulous day! Andy Tooze joined us for a day of poetry. The children listened to, wrote and performed their own poetry during the day. Andy said he was very impressed by our children. What a talented lot!

We will soon be uploading photographs and videos of the children performing their poetry. Well done everyone!

  • Book Fair

Mon 16 Nov 2015 Mrs McSherry

A huge thank you to all of the parents who made purchases from our book fair.

Out total sales made a very impressive amount of £686.  This enabled us to earn 50% back in commission.

This money has been used to purchase new reading scheme books for your children.  When ordering the new books, we responded to your feedback about the genres of books that your children would like to read.

We look forward to receiving the new books in school very soon and hope that your children will enjoy reading them.

  • Christmas Performance

Sat 14 Nov 2015 Mrs McSherry

This year in Reception and KS1, we will be performing Babushka. The children have been busy learning their songs in school and those children who have speaking parts, have been issued with their words to learn.

Children will soon be receiving a costume list and as last year, we will be asking parents to provide them.

Tickets will be available from the beginning of December.

  • Website Launched

    Tue 10 Nov 2015

Welcome to our brand new school website. We have created the website to keep parents up to date with school news and notices, and to showcase some of the great things our pupils are achieving.

The website is currently being updated so please check back regularly. Please bear with us over the next few weeks whilst we update all of the content. It will be worth it!

  • School rabbits arrive!

    Mon 09 Nov 2015 ST

Our two school rabbits have arrived and caused great excitement across the school! They are Rex Bleu rabbits and are 12 weeks old.

Mrs Toft is looking after them with the children in the EYFS. However all children will get a chance to look after them and learn how to handle and look after a rabbit.

Once our rabbits have names (the children will be holding a vote!) and they have settled in to school life we will be asking families if they would like to look after the rabbits over the school holidays. If you are interested in this, then please pop in and speak to Miss Taberner or Mrs Toft.

    Rabbit request!

If anyone has a run they no longer need then we can certainly make use of this. We also need some sawdust too please!

  • Spelling Bee

    Mon 09 Nov 2015 ST
