Miss Jayne Harris Term of office 29.06.2015 - 28.06.2019
I'm Jayne Harris, and I've been a co-opted Governor at Walton School for around 4 years now. I've seen the school go through challenges and changes during that time, and its fantastic to be part of exciting developments we've had over the last 2 years. The school is thriving, and our school community is a positive and supportive one.
Walton is a special place - it's the school I chose for my children to attend, and I feel very lucky to be a member of staff, as well as a Governor. I grew up in the village, and still live nearby, so I have a real interest in the school's continuing success.
I chose to join the Governing Body, after many years of working in Education. I feel it's important to understand how things work "behind the scenes", and to understand why and how decisions are made.
Education is a very challenging field to be part of, and we constantly strive to balance the rigours of targets and outcomes, with meeting the needs of our children and their families. Our ethos of Living, Learning, Laughing remains at the heart of the decisions that we make as a Governing body.
